2023 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY STORAGE SYMPOSIUM

Batteries will play a transformative role in our global energy future, and they rely on a global value chain for which Indonesia and Australia will continue to emerge as dominant participants. There are extensive opportunities for Australia and Indonesia to partner in broad fields of research, technology, education, trade, and commercialisation; and this symposium will focus on identifying these. 

Institut Teknologi Bandung, Curtin University and The Asian Development Bank (ADB), through the ADB No. 4272-INO PRIME STeP project, have partnered with key international stakeholders to facilitate a strategic dialogue for researchers, industry, and government agencies to expand our networks, knowledge, and broader understandings of the challenges and opportunities around energy storage and energy transition.

The proposed practical outcome of this forum is to establish a network of stakeholders from Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Indonesia for accelerating collaborative endeavours in leveraging resources, expertise, and knowledge towards meaningful partnerships in energy storage around the globe, that will make a significant difference to people, and the planet.
